I have posted this piece from Conventional Folly, because having studied Nietzsche and written an honors thesis on his comprehension of human history, I cannot help being reminded of the truth of this piece entitled, Against Democrat Peace Theory. As I said in remarks I posted over on their blog, Nietzsche spoke correctly in saying that all consensus is but a temporary truce; conflict is the life blood of all organic, living, human history.
