Obama, Hamas, and the Gaza CrisisWhile there has been much talk in the past about Obama understanding, and perhaps identifying with, the POV of Hamas, and even rumors that were he in power now, he would send US troops into Gaza to stop the Israeli troops, I think his deferring to Bush in the present moment is not simply a mask behind which his true intentions are waiting for the time for action. In other words, his stance will not be different in the future: For all the talk of his radicalism, he remains a centrist in most things; perhaps in too many things, as is becoming clear.
