Is Socialism Making a Comeback? This is worth reading:

Not for the faint-hearted: From Accuracy in Media, "Is Barack Obama a Marxist Mole?"

From my college days, the "Early Writings" of Karl Marx was one of my favorites. My philosophy mentor, Nick Braune had somewhat of a socialist view of things. My other mentor, Jack Russel Weinstein, was of the Adam Smith camp, and believed in the invisible hand theory of capitalism. I am simply watching Obama, with interest. . .
From Accuracy in Media's essay: ~"Obama's victory was more than a progressive move: it was a dialectical leap ushering in a qualitatively new era of struggle. . . " ~ (attributed to Chapman)
For a more balanced and reality-based perspective and point of view, read Alex Pattakos of Huffington Post, "Meaningful Capitalism: Change we can believe in":

To Remember: Howe and Strauss asked, without irony, and without using the term pejoratively when they wrote on the rising Millennial Generation, the apple of their historian's eye, "are they a generation of little socialists?". . .
