The above link leads to an excellent analysis of what really went wrong in the Bush years: Too much loyalty to ideology. So says Chris Hayes, who then make the most interesting observation about Obama: that he will speak pragmatically, while acting ideologically and progressively, behind the smokescreen and mask of pragmatism. The very opposite of what all on the left had feared; the reverse of the scenario so many have predicted! Well worth reading, Hayes' article makes many points with gusto and force which many have not considered, or have dismissed too hastily.
