Knox's family express their deepest sympathy with the Kercher family, and say they believe Kercher's father is a decent man, but ill-informed.
In the end, Mellas says just as John Kercher says he wants "peace," she wants that for her daughter as well.
"That's a grieving family, and so we really have chosen to when we've been asked about it we've said, 'They're grieving. We understand that. However, our daughter is innocent."
