Our 44th Prez and Comic SuperHero Barack Obama, like so many little boys, was an avid reader and collector of superhero comic books as a kid. It is a very American boy pastime; my own son collected all the Batman figures and watched all the films and cartoons of him. The lonely biracial boy, sent to live with his white grandparents, whiling away the summer with his comic collection. And this was absorbed into his developing psyche, there to emerge as a besetting vice and virtue; a two-edged sword which catapulted him to us in his 40s. And now SpiderMan has Barack as its "Nerd in Chief"!
